Some of my favourite things
HomeAfter making the move to the south coast from Sydney in 2015, my family and I have never looked back. I am grateful every day to be surrounded by such natural beauty in such a great community of wonderful people.
I found my place when I moved here and I am so happy to be able to offer this life to our 2 girls, even though they are COMPLETELY unaware of what they have. One day they'll realise how lucky they are!! |
FitnessFitness is completely non-negotiable for me. I exercise most mornings regardless of where my head takes me at 5am. The benefits of daily exercise shapes my life. It ALWAYS starts my day in the right way. I’m one of those crazy people that completes my fitness activities before the kids wake up. This is what works for me as I’m an “excuse” person in the afternoon (if I'm being honest!).
This commitment makes me feel motivated, positive and strong and the and the social aspect makes me SO happy. Meeting with friends and being amongst people “getting it done” is inspiring to do all over again the following morning.. I really enjoy a sleep-in on a Sunday and also indulge in days of rest after celebrations that involve a few wines! |
FoodDon’t get me started… Food means so much to me.
I almost plan my day around my meals. Almost. In general, I eat well at home and when eating out. I make sure that I MAINLY eat healthy, clean, home-made food as I have learnt that eating any other way makes me feel heavy, bloated and really uncomfortable. I enjoy a healthy treat most days and ensure that I have quick and easy lunch options since I'm on the go most days. Food is about balance and I don't think you should deny yourself less healthy treats in moderation. The social aspect of eating is really important to me. Food is about being with the people that I love. It's about making memories. I am SO lucky to have a husband that also shares my love of entertaining friends and family which usually centres around a feast. He's a great cook, which is perfect as I love to be on the other side of the kitchen bench entertaining. I enjoy wine (and a gin) and try to restrict this to the weekends - but nobody's perfect. |
My ReadsThese are the books that I am sure to read! I try to attempt new recipes every now and again. The recipes that these books offer include the food that I LOVE to prepare, share and eat. These books also cover more than food. They focus on lifestyle and wellness and may even encourage you to enjoy a spot of yoga (love you Lola Berry!).
