School Holidays are upon us once again! As a Mother and a Health, Nutrition & Wellness Coach I place a lot of importance on nourishing the minds and bellies of my two children. I have a real passion in providing food that not only tastes good but more importantly, supports good health - the two go hand in hand really. Most kids aren't going to eat something purely for its health benefits so we need to get creative and show them that the foods that support good health, a healthy gut and good immunity can be REALLY delicious too. Aside from the nourishing food, I'm a huge believer in encouraging our kids to move their bodies. Through incorporating different styles of movement, our kids will experience benefits that have them feeling strong, fast, flexible and confident and, whilst they may not see the importance, they'll sleep better and their feelings of happiness will soar. - we all want happy kids! Kids love to move and they love a challenge so, with this in mind, I'm so excited about introducing Jess from "Hope Springs Yoga Experiences" who will facilitate age appropriate yoga sessions. Jess will will have the kids moving their bodies, testing their balance, practicing mindfulness through breathing techniques and being outwardly creative whilst being in a loving supportive space. I'll be running 2 x workshops over these school holidays. These will be run on Wednesday 30th of June at the following times; Wednesday 30th of June 9am-11.30am For 5-7 year olds This gorgeous younger group will be able to enjoy the inclusion of a movement & mindfulness session ran by Jess from "Hope Springs Yoga Experiences". This younger group will be able to enjoy some age appropriate yoga & group play followed by some simple breathe techniques finishing up with a lovely guided meditation. This session was thoroughly enjoyed by the 5-7 year olds that took part in it last term. Following this beautiful session your child will prepare 2 types of some yummy treats that the whole family can enjoy (all other inclusions listed below still apply). If your child has been to one of my workshops in the past OR if you are booking for more than 1 child please contact me for a discount code that will give you 10% off the overall cost. 2.00-5pm For 8-10 year olds This will be the first ever nourishing food workshop that will include mindful movement for the 8-10 year olds. Jess will be offering the kids a space to explore stillness and calm as well as group play and yoga activity. I'm so excited to see the kids in this beautiful space that will bring inward their awareness as well as challenge their balance, all whilst having a giggle no doubt. These workshops will run for 3 hours and will be all about good health & nourishment through food and movement. Children will be encouraged to follow recipe instructions, prepare their treats, get their hands dirty and explore different flavours by tasting everything and maybe even taking some home to share with the family. If your child has been to one of my workshops in the past OR if you are booking for more than 1 child please contact me for a discount code that will give you 10% off the overall cost. At Rise Studio, I'll be offering a space where your children can explore new foods and experiment with flavours and food combinations. I'll be offering information on the ingredients we use and will oversee these young minds, bringing together easy to follow healthy treat & snack recipes that they'll be able to try again at home. In my experience, children are much more likely to eat something that they have been involved in making, so providing a space where they can get a measuring cup out, mix, pour and get their hands dirty will not only educate them on "how to make", but will bring a focus on flavour, health benefits and nourishment that will result in a change in mindset. Creating healthy habits at a young age is something we all want for our kids. Of course they're going to want party food and hot chips. Who doesn't?? But knowing the importance of foods that support a healthy body is the message I want to pass on. This experience will reveal that healthy options don't have to be B-O-R-I-N-G and that a healthy balance is what it's all about. We're going to have fun and the kids will leave empowered knowing that they are capable to prepare foods that are good for them and good for the whole family. During our time together you child will:
They'll also receive a Love Being Goody bag that includes:
